WHO ARE WE

"And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching."

Hebrews 10:24-25

St. John's The Baptist Church, is a small growing church based in the heart of the Waterberg on the small farm of Noorport. This small community church has grown vastly in numbers over the past view years which is the result of the close nit community of family and friends gathering here every Sunday to Praise and Worship the Almighty.

OUR STORY

The farm 24 Rivers was bought with the savings of spinster Edith Fawssett who had come out from England in 1892. Her sister, Katherine was married to Arthur Peacock...

OUR MINISTRIES

Joining a serving team will put you into the heart of the Church family. You will get to know one another and "feel" the family membership. We would encourage everyone to serve on a Sunday in some capacity or elsewhere during the week.

SUNDAY WORSHIP

Despite our remote location, St Johns is a vibrant and modern church. We worship with guitar, piano and voices using contemporary worship songs. We consider our services a family gathering and welcome visitors as family friends...

LEADERSHIP

At St John's we are led by a body of appointed elders who meet regularly

to discuss, decide and direct all matters of church governance.

The elders role is to "shepherd, oversee, lead, and care for the local church"..

The eldership is itself accountable to two spiritual "patrons", Rev Richard Fothergill and Mark Warren Smith.
